The veneered case is embellished with contrasting bands, as is the door of the trunk. The center of the door is fitted with a gilt bronze cartouche representing father time. The door of the watch is flanked by pillars with brass base and capital. The clock case sides and cover are decorated with fretwork. The hood has a carved crest and is crowned by three images of gilded wood: Atlas flanked by two winged buglers.
