This tulip vase modelled as a bust has holes for flowers in the head and shoulders. This type of bust of oriental people was made in two factories in Delft. The Greek A under father and son Kocx and the Metaale pot under Lambertus van Eenhoorn.
The similarity between the busts of the various factories is so great that it is assumed that both factories used the same moulds.
The decoration of the foot of this Moor with a mask is special. Most busts have a pedestal decorated with flowers. The Haags Gemeentemuseum (municipal museum of The Hague) has the same flower holder in blue with a pedestal decorated with leaf motifs.
